ABL Games

Adventure Based Learning (ABL) Games are one of our most popular activities and can be done anywhere.

Abseiling

Site specific options include - Castle Rock, Waipu Cove, Ti Point, Kinloch, Camp Bentzon & Motu Moana.

Amazing Race

Teams, flags, chants and challenges. Teams rotate around and solve cryptic clues to lead them to their next challenge.

Archery

Fully portable - this is a popular in-school and on-location activity. We can cater to small children up to adults.

Bivvy Building

Fully portable - this is a popular in-school and on-location activity. Involves learning about the weather and knots.

Bush Skills

Portable - a popular in-school & on-location activity. Activity varies based on surroundings. Often includes stove use & flora ID.

Caving

Site specific - locations include Waipu and National park

Disc Golf

Disc golf is a flying disc sport in which players throw a disc at a target; it is played using rules similar to golf. Fully portable.

Flying Fox

We operate zipline/flying fox at Castlerock and Camp Epworth

Kayaking

Location Specific. Regular spots include Lake Pupuke, Hunua Falls camp and basically anywhere where there is enough water!

Mobile Rock Wall

If you can't go to the rock, we'll bring the rock to you

Mountain Biking

100% portable for both in-school and on-location activity. Small children and adults can up their skills using our portable ramps course.

Natural Climbing

Site specific options include - Castle Rock, Waipu Cove, Ti Point and Kinloch.

Orienteering

Fully portable - this is a popular in-school and on-location activity. We can cater to small children up to adults, varying the difficulty and depth of skills.

Outdoor First Aid

Gives students some hands on practice to a life skill. Can be taught anywhere, but is best with some bush.

Pancake Race

A quiz will get everything you need to make your pancake. Race against other teams to create the best one for the judges.

Raft Building

Location specific. Regular spots include Lake Pupuke, Hunua Falls camp and basically anywhere where there is enough water!

Rogaine

Fully portable - Orienteering type. In a rogaine, teams of 2–5 people choose which checkpoints to visit within a time limit with the intent of maximizing their score.

Sea Kayaking

Exploring our sea the best way - tide and location dependent, but we have many favourite places!

Snow Experience

Ideal for those groups who don't get to see the snow very often. This chilly adventure takes us South to National Park.

Stream Bash

Location specific. Be prepared to get wet and learn about a natural environment from a different perspective.

Surf Kayaking

Learn how to paddle out past the waves using different paddling strokes and grips and then ride the wave to shore.

Tramping

From day hikes to extend multi-day journeys
