Do you cover all the legal safety requirements for running activities?

Bigfoot has been offering outdoor adventure programmes for over 16 years and is a registered and safety audited provider of adventure activities at various sites around the north island, i.e. abseiling and rock climbing, caving, open water kayaking, white water kayaking, canoeing and zipline.

We develop activity management plans (AMP’S) and site management plans (SMP’s) for all our activities and sites we operate at. Our comprehensive health and safety policy covers all aspects of bigfoot internal and external operations.

Bigfoot also elected to conduct the OutdoorsMark Premium safety audit. This is a voluntary comprehensive safety audit that reviews non regulated aspects of our operation including activities that fall outside the scope of regulations, but we consider still important to monitor for safety performance, e.g. Mountain Biking, Bush Craft, Tramping and Archery. This Premium safety audit also includes our engagement of quality third party providers to deliver additional local activities and services. Bigfoot reviews each provider for good practice and keeps good relations with their leaders.

As part of the EOTC programme in schools do you have a contracting checklist?

Yes Bigfoot has a checklist and can be found here EOTC Checklist.
